How Medical Marijuana Helps Seizures

Medical marijuana has long been shown to reduce the prevalence of seizures in epileptic patients, or even cease them completely. In fact, cannabis has been shown to be incredibly effective for epileptic children as well.

Since medical marijuana is so effective for epilepsy, it makes sense that the same qualities epilepsy patients seek in cannabis would be effective for seizures caused by other medical conditions as well.

A study published in Scientific American, shows that seizure patients given 99% CBD reported amazing reductions.

The researchers reported the intervention reduced motor seizures at a rate similar to existing drugs (a median of 36.5 percent) and 2 percent of patients became completely seizure free.
