Medical Marijuana and Chronic Pain

This is National Pain Awareness Week in Canada, and we’re going to share some of the benefits of medical marijuana for those suffering from chronic pain. In Canada, about one in five people suffers from chronic pain, which is pain lasting longer than six months.

Chronic pain can range in severity and can affect any part of the body, common types include: carpal tunnel, back pain, tendonitis, etc. Other indicators of chronic pain are:

  • Mild to severe pain
  • Pain that may be described as shooting, burning, aching or electrical
  • Feeling of discomfort, soreness, tightness or stiffness

Research has shown that just “three puffs a day” of medical marijuana can drastically improve pain levels and help patients sleep better as well. If you’re interested in hearing about how medical marijuana can help with your chronic pain, please call us: 403-475-4205.
